Title Analysis 

The image on the left is the title of the film Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory (1971). There are only two main colours in the title, and these colours are brown and yellow. The brown is used as the background to represent the chocolate, and the yellow is used in contrast to the brown in the background, the contrast of the yellow and brown help to enhance the title. The simple colours used in the title also help to represent the movie.

The title for Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory is a serif, fancy font, the letters are chunky and can also be described as comic font, these characteristics can also be a representation of the film itself. The text has a slight shadow, this gives each letter a 3D effect and can also be used to help it stand out against the dark background. The colours, style and effect of the font and background can help it stand out against other titles.

The genre of Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory is a fantasy, family musical film. The title doesn't reflect the genre of the movie. However, the font style can give away the idea of the movie being a fantasy.

The image to the right is one of the 'Fast and Furious' titles. It is a simple title yet the target audience to this movie franchise will recognise it if used else where. There are only two colours used in the title, and these are chrome silver and black for the background. The use of the chrome silver could have been used to represent cars as the movie is about racing and cars. The black background could have been used to enhance the colour of the title itself.

The lettering used in the title are serif, the lettering may be simple, but it can be recognised because of the colours used and also the font is used in all 'Fast and Furious' films, meaning it has become iconic for the movie franchise.

The 'Fast and Furious' franchise is an action, crime, thriller. Yet this isn't portrayed in the title of the films. The audience can probably get an idea that the movie is an action by the name, and maybe by the font colour can give the idea away, apart from that the genre of the movie is unclear.

The image on the left is the title from the film 'Brave'. This film is an adventure, comedy, and this is portrayed in the title. The title consists of two colours, black for the background and a golden brown for the lettering itself. The background is black to emphasise the colours used in the title, the dark colours helps the gold in the brown to stand out more.
The genre of this movie is adventure, comedy. However, the adventure theme is portrayed more in the title than the comedy, with the use of engraving in lettering portrays the idea of adventure and maybe gives the idea to the audience of fantasy.

The audiences ideas towards this title are focused on what the genre of the film is, and maybe what the films is about. The letter style is serif, giving it a fantasy style,portraying the idea of fantasy in the movie. The style of font and the engraving on the letters, give away the idea that the film  as been set in the past.
